Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Director in the scale of Rs. 37,400-67,000 + GP Rs. 8,900. Educational and other qualifications: Essential: (i) Eminent scholar with specialization in Social Sciences and ability to conduct and guide original research. (ii) Published research work of high merit. iii) At least ten years’ experience in a responsible position in Government, Autonomous Organization or a University. Desirable: Should have close acquaintance with the history of the Indian national movement. Age: Below 55 years. The post is permanent. In exceptional cases the existing pay being drawn will be protected.
Persons working in Government / Autonomous Bodies/Universities, etc., may apply through proper channel to ensure that they will be relieved to join the post in the event of selection/appointment. The Executive Council of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Society is the Appointing Authority for the post of Director.
